Activation of Therefore license in Solution Designer causing an error
You get either "Failed to activate license. Soap error Nr:5" or "Failed to load Therefore Activation Package!" error.
Solution:
The "Activate" function in Configuration Wizard or "Update License" function in Solution Designer require an internet connection on the machine where you are running Therefore™ Configuration Wizard or Solution Designer.
If there is no internet connection on the machine or the port 53 is blocked by a firewall, you can use any machine which is connected to the internet to download the Activation Package.
For new and reset licenses, please follow these steps:
- Follow the link https://license.therefore.net/update.
- Login with your customer ID.
- Click "Activate" button.
- Download the SystemPIN utility.
- Copy the utility to the Therefore server and run there.
- Copy the system pin to the web page and activate the license.
- Download the license and copy it to the Therefore server.
- Import the license using Solution Designer or using Configuration Wizard
In case your license is already activated and is not reset, you need to reset the license first to be able to go through the offline activation process.
In this case, instead of "Activate" (2nd screenshot above) you can only "Download" the already activated license file.
